When Luke was approached to bring his visual mastery to a festival event celebrating the transformative power of creativity, he did what came naturally.
Together with the Refinery29 design team, Luke created the visual identity for the ‘Funhouse of Style, Culture & Technology’ event in his signature 3D illustration, typography and animation style. Alongside photographer Rockie Nolan, a series of animations were created exploring the small and unassuming moments where inspiration can strike, as if conjured up by magic.
The campaign also included a series of illustrations and murals, painted with the help of Colossal Media, for a truly creative collaboration and immersive experience fitting to this year’s theme of ‘Turn It Into Art’.
Festival goers were invited to create, play and explore the multi-sensory playground, brought to life by a group of global artists with 20,000 people from 13 countries passing through the transformed warehouse in Williamsburg, Brooklyn over the four days.
